Many years ago, a decade even, when I was still a waitress-vj-design-photographer, a friend who was aware of my obsession with thread showed me a simple 'pixel' heart woven onto the tennis racket. My response? Challenge accepted. Within a week I had scavenged Milnerton Market top to bottom for vintage rackets (they are so beautiful) and attempted my first flowers on a racket. I loved it and made more. MANY MORE. I dont have them all included here, lost images in a hard drive crash and stopped taking pictures at some point, but I can confidently say I have made over 100.

Shortly after I started my hobby of upcycling rackets began, they were featured on Instagram's search and explore page, and on This is Colossal. Overnight I started getting orders. Shortly after this amazing glitch in the internet, I hung up my apron. The rest, as they say, is history.

I have so much fun making them. I have had the honour of making them for the likes of Drew Barrymore, Justine Bateman, Nike and Wimbledon as well as many facilitations of love between friends and family.

I make some available yearly, so pop into my shop or subscribe to my mailer for the next drop.

PS. No, I dont use fabric, these are stitched straight into the strings. Strings on Strings baby.

PPS. This is a small selection of rackets I'm sharing while I attempt to recover my hard drive!
