This piece was created to be placed in a surfboard for Wavescape. Many weeks, outfits, and stitches later, the piece was ready to be set in resin. I documented the embroidery and sent it off, but unfortunately, it never returned in the way I had envisioned. We gave it our all, but 2022 wasn’t the year for an embroidered surfboard.
I am incredibly grateful to the amazing team at WetInk, who transformed what could have been a disappointing loss into a stunning print. Captured with perfect detail, it looks just like the original piece!
This was crafted with DMC tapestry wool and stranded cotton.
