7 years in the making, Cape Town-based producer and DJ Ross Fink’s debut album under the moniker of Mac Motel is the definition of a passion project. Entitled "Good Boy", it was created out of the desire to make something fresh that wasn’t influenced by contemporary sounds and saw him return to his roots as a producer. I was commissioned by Ross to create this cover, based on a photo of their beloved Hughey. I have been a huge fan of Ross's music since stumbling on a CD of his at Mabu Vinyl, in 2013.
Using the front and back of the embroidery for the album cover was such a special touch, and even crops of this are reflected on the centre of the blue vinyl.
