INAWE RESIDENCE / SELF PORTRAIT

In 2014 I was asked to join the InAwe residence programme in collaboration with Nokia and Between10and5. It was a treat to be able to take two weeks and just create in such an incredible environment.

The second self portrait was created in January 2019 as an experiment to see what working from a different reference image was like. Moving more steps away from the initial photograph, I made a paper collage, and then stitched the portrait onto black cotton.
