Furby it to me, to sew something so divisive. Half of you love them and the other half fear them. These are like the marmite of the toy kingdom.
I’ve been reading up on these nostalgic critters that I pined over in my younger years. Furbys were the first successful attempt at a domestically-aimed robot selling over 40 million in its first three years of production. These Furbish speaking hamster/owl frankenbears were considered a security risk by the NSA and even though the creators denied it had recording abilities, security researchers discovered the microphone in a Furby Connect (2016) can be remotely activated and voice record through Bluetooth (that little fact is for my flat earthers). There’s even a whole wiki-how article on how to turn your Furby evil.
It’s either a doo-dah (furbish yes) or boo (no) to you, but either way this was the most fun to sew.
